This is the second part of a series for my ‘Basic Van Conversion’
Read Part 2- Basic Van Conversion Update
I decided it was all too hard to try and do the conversion myself. I live in a townhouse with no real room to park my van and convert it.
In my search to find someone that could install a ply floor I found a little company called All Van Mod’s based in Slacks Creek, Brisbane. I decided to ask them to provide me a quote on a real basic conversion and I thought it was quite reasonable.
I decided I would much rather pay the $$ for someone else to do a better and more efficient job that I ever will. I know if I were left to doing it myself it’d be 2020 and still no progress. Anyway, the costs are below and I will be dropping off Ralph early Monday morning (12th Dec 2016). They said he’ll be ready to pick up Wednesday/ Thursday. I’m pretty happy with that- just means that I’ll be walking to work or getting Dave to pick me up for a few days.
Conversion includes
-sofa bed with draw $900.00
-shelving with drop down desk/ table $804.55
-install 2x solar roof vents which I already purchased $200.00
-install 200w solar panel which I already purchased $136.36
total: $2245.00
Cheers,
Grace
